If you want to mark a specific point in a clip, simply hit the “M” key on your keyboard.

01 Move playhead in iMovie timeline project and click M on keyboard 1

I now have a little marker on the screen. This is useful for marking specific points in the timeline.

You can click on it to drag it around and if you drag it off the screen, it will disappear.

02 Click on Playhead in timeline to move marker or delete from imovie project (2)
