If you want to mark a specific point in a clip, simply hit the “M” key on your keyboard.
I now have a little marker on the screen. This is useful for marking specific points in the timeline.
You can click on it to drag it around and if you drag it off the screen, it will disappear.
You can also select it and hit delete on your keyboard to remove it.
If you use text titles, you’ll be able to use them as chapter markers.
By default, pressing “M” will place a marker. However if you don’t have a keyboard or you’re on a tablet, you can also go to mark in the toolbar, and then click on add marker.

The marker will be added wherever you have the playhead in your timeline.
